Lovely piece. They are all over San Diego and LA, and San Miguel de Allende, GTO, Mx too. I appreciate your deference to the original publications and the tour guide as well.

Thanks! A common problem I see with other Substack writers who write stories like this about Mexico is that they don't cite sources, or even link back to where they found their information. I never want to make that same error.

They are in Santiago de Chile as well and usually bloom in November right before summer starts apparently brought over from Argentina. I am enjoying the cherries and magnolias, but I miss the jacarandas.
