We say all these things, but with so many more words... Who'd have thought Spanish would be more precise in some aspects of language?! Normally, when I translate, I'm struggling to get the Spanish into the same space as the English one...

Hah right? Given that Spanish is so much less specific with its general vocabulary, I love that it also has highly specific, very idiosyncratic words as well.

Yes, Spanish has a verb for everything! My favorite Spanish word I learned this year is periplo.

Love these! I'm also a fan of the specific verbs for certain meals, like desayunar. We have "to dine" but I like the Spanish specificity!

Oh, please don’t get Mr @hombresubaru started. He’s been trying to teach me Salvadorean Spanish for 8 years now… But we use Vacilando like joking, he isn’t much of a jokester, but I am and I always have to couch my words with. “Estoy vacilando”. So he knows I’m playing around. Lovely article, looking forward to more! Do you know the difference between perro y chucho? I just know I cannot say perro at my house…
